Rampant corruption in New York State, USA.
So rampant in fact that New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo set up the Commission to Investigate Public Corruption earlier this year, and it just released its preliminary findings in a report. The report details widespread incidence of corruption within the New York State government, and suggests ways to deal with it.
But how can you expect American politicians to ever legislate anti-corruption measures if they themselves would inevitably be the first target of such measures? Catch 22.
