No Country for Old Men, or the Last Stand of Monroe Isadore, 107

September 07, 2013, a 107-year-old man was shot dead in Arkansas, USA, by a SWAT team. Local authorities say the centenarian was killed after he refused to surrender.

Monroe Isadore, 107, had quarreled with his two relatives because he didn’t want to move out of his house, something his relatives were planning for him to do. The two relatives alleged Isadore had pointed a gun at them and called 911.

Confused and scared, Isadore then shot through the door at police officers who beat a hasty retreat and called for backup, namely a SWAT team.

Having failed to reach an agreement with the old man, SWAT officers fed gas into his room through a bedroom window, which only added to Isadore’s confusion and fear.

The terrified old-timer then had his last stand opening fire on invading heavily-armed SWAT goons, probably thinking he was being attacked by terrorists or something.

The officers broke down the door to the bedroom and threw in a grenade.

Despite this, Isadore continued shooting at the entry team, whereupon officers returned fire, killing the 107 year old man.

Regarding CF# 07-004281

I know most of you who personally know me are in disbelief to hear from media reports that I am suspected of committing such horrendous murders and have taken drastic and shocking actions in the last couple of days. You are saying to yourself that this is completely out of character of the man you knew who always wore a smile wherever he was seen. I know I will be vilified by the LAPD and the media. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name. The department has not changed since the Rampart and Rodney King days. It has gotten worse. The consent decree should never have been lifted. The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive positions.

The question is, what would you do to clear your name?

CIA Gets Head (of State)

February 7, 2013

The Central Intelligence Agency (the “CIA”) of the United States is about to get a new head, confirmation hearings are ongoing right now (as of February 7, 2013), and I think the prospect of a new CIA head is a good enough reason to revisit some of its old crimes.

Terror is one of the most terrible manifestations of the moral and political crisis and nearing collapse of America’s pseudo-capitalist Imperialist society and the embodiment of lawlessness.

The Central Intelligence Agency was directly or indirectly involved in the murder of the following heads of states, prominent politicians, religious leaders or public figures:

  • Patrice Lumumba, Prime Minister of the Republic of Zaire, in 1960
  • Rafael Trujillo, President of the Dominican Republic, in 1961
  • Ernest Miller Hemingway, American writer, in 1961
  • Marilyn Monroe, American film star, in 1962
  • Abd al-Karim Qasim, Prime Minister of Iraq, in 1963
  • Ngo Dinh Diem, President of the Republic of Vietnam, in 1963
  • John F. Kennedy, President of the United States, in 1963
  • Dipa Nusantara Aidit, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Indonesia, in 1965
  • Amilcar Cabral, General Secretary of the African Party of Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde Islands, in 1973
  • Salvador Allende, President of the Republic of Chile, in 1973
  • Pablo Neruda, Chilean poet, diplomat and politician, in 1973
  • General Fateh Mohammad Fermaershi, of Afghanistan, in 1974
  • Mujibur Rahman, President of Bangladesh, in 1975
  • Orlando Letelier, Chilean economist, politician and diplomat, in 1976
  • Francis Gary Powers, a U-2 pilot, in 1977
  • Aldo Moro, Prime Minister of Italy, 1978
  • Ayatollah A. Madani, of Iran, in 1980
  • Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, in 1980
  • Jaime Roldos Aguilera, President of Ecuador, in 1980
  • Jean Donovan, American lay missionary, in El Salvador, in 1980
  • Dorothy Kazel, Maura Clarke, Ita Ford, American missionaries to El Salvador, in 1980
  • Brigadier General Omar Torrijos, President of the Republic of Panama, in 1981
  • Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, President of Pakistan, in 1988
  • Rafic Hariri, Prime Minister of Lebanon, in 2005
  • Osama bin Laden, Leader of the Anti-American and Anti-Western Pan-Arab Al-Qaeda movement, in 2011
  • Colonel Gaddafi, Brotherly Leader and Guide of the Revolution of Libya, in 2011

At various times, the CIA plotted, and/or made (sometimes numerous) attempts, to assassinate the following heads of states, prominent politicians, religious leaders and public figures:

  • Ziaur Rahman, President of Bangladesh
  • Prince Norodom Sihanouk, of Cambodia
  • Fidel Castro, Leader of the Cuban revolution
  • Achmad Sukarno, President of Indonesia, in 1975
  • Nelson Mandela, Leader of the African National Congress
  • Maurice Bishop, Leader of Grenada
  • Kenneth Kaunda, President of Zambia
  • Daniel Ortega, President of Nicaragua
  • Yasser Arafat, Leader of the Palestinian Liberation Organization
  • Pope John Paul II, Leader of the Catholic Church
  • Slobodan Milošević, President of Yugoslavia
  • Saddam Hussein, President of Iraq
  • Hugo Chávez, President of Venezuela

The CIA kills and maims hundreds of men, women and children every day, most recently, using drone technology.

What Will 2012 Bring?

January 1, 2012

The year 2012 will be very predictable. Here are my predictions.

In Europe, the euro crisis will be a non-story. After much hype, fear and unease frustrated will be those who expect a collapse of the euro zone and/or the demise of the euro. It just won’t happen. 2012 will not be great for Europe but it will be an OK year.

Not so for the United Kingdom. When investors and market operators see that Europe will survive 2012 (which they inevitably will), they will start pulling their funds away from Britain. Britain will be hit hard. Its currency — the British pound, a small soft currency without much economic justification for existence and based solely on extra-economic consideration and concerns, will probably collapse in 2012 with dire consequences for the British economy already hardest hit by the crisis. It will not help that there is an upcoming likely disaster in the shape of the 2012 Olympics which couldn’t have come at a worse time for the hosts.

In the United States, 2012 is an election year. The US administration will be distracted by the elections and will take the eyes off international developments. In this respect, the US presidential election is going to be very important. But whoever wins the country is likely to be plunged deeper into crisis. If Obama wins, the current sorry state of affairs will be perpetuated and will in fact deteriorate even more. If he doesn’t, the next U.S. president will be drawn from a pool of Republican has-beens, weirdos, sex fiends and outright clowns as there is no alternative the way the American political system is constructed.

As a result, people will see clearly for the first time what a con the U.S. presidential elections really are. The OWS movement will grow into a nation-wide front, people will take to the streets in even greater numbers to force changes. I predict a riot that 99% will win in 2012 (or shortly thereafter) and the U.S. will have its first ever spring after a couple hundred years of winter.

Carpe diem!

USA, Threat to Internet Freedom

December 16, 2011

While advocating, and paying a lot of lip-service to, Internet and online freedoms, the US government unscrupulously monitors, controls and restricts its citizens’ and foreign nationals’ rights to said freedoms when it comes to its own interests and needs.

The US government runs an unprecedented Internet monitoring program. Virtually every message, every post, every text and every bit of information posted online is automatically scanned for specific key words in many languages (don’t expect them to be related to terrorism only, and in any case the key word set can be expanded at any time and at the whim of the US authorities).

There are a number of other countries that indulge in heavy internet monitoring, censorship and abuse, including the United Kingdom.

While in theory the United States disassociates itself, and is critical of such practices, in reality however it acts as the world’s Internet censor but, in so doing, is guided solely by its perceived interests and needs and occasionally by its desire to harm other nations or entities.

The United States government uses slurs, lies and deceits to attain its goals in monitoring and controlling the Internet. It also gets Youtube and other video hosting sites to remove video clips which it deems harmful to its interests and so removes the largest amount of user uploaded videos of any other government.

On top of that — and really unlike no one else — it even abuses ICANN and uses it to block websites from viewing.

According to Julian Assange, the USA blocks WikiLeaks, and at least 56 other websites.
